Housing <br />activities that help achieve these goals include rehabilitation of single- <br />and multi-family housing units, code enforcement} and preservation of <br />assisted housing units that may be at risk of converting to market-rate <br />housing. Through code enforcement, neighborhood, and home <br />improvement programs, the City maintains the condition of existing <br />housing units. <br /> <br />Policy H-l.l: Provide rehabilitation and home improvement <br />assistance to lower- and moderate-income households, <br />seniors, and the disabled. (Action H-l, Action H-2) <br /> <br />Policy H-l.2: Through partnerships with neighborhood groups, <br />promote increased awareness among property owners <br />and residents of the importance of property <br />maintenance to long-term affordable housing. (Action <br />H-3) <br /> <br />Policy H-l.3 Encourage resident involvement and engage <br />neighborhood organizations in identifying and <br />addressing housing and neighborhood needs in <br />partnership with the City.
