<br />Lydia Dobyns with RAFT, Resource Area for Teaching, explained the services provided by <br />this organization. She asked Council to help her introduce RAFT to the local business <br />community. She invited all interested in coming to the resource center. Ms. Dobyns <br />provided details on their operations and business plan. <br />Mayor Foust added that she is connecting Ms. Dobyns with the Chambers and she will <br />also be speaking at a local Rotary Club. <br /> <br />Cherlene Wright, spoke about a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that she and her <br />husband founded called "Teach for your Dreams". Ms. Wright explained the goal of this <br />non-profit is to assist teachers with funds for special in classroom projects. The website is <br />www.teachforyourdreams.org. <br /> <br />MOTION: Waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, adopt <br />the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. <br /> <br />M/S Bain/Aguirre to approve the Consent Calendar.
