<br />Page 2 of2 80 <br />Page 48 <br /> <br />But most importantly I am concerned about Redwood City's future healthy growth. <br /> <br />I am asking the planning department to deny this permit or postpone any action until the city council, a <br />committee of Redwood City citizens and the planning department can explore the implications and QQ1~ntial <br />likelihood of misuse of these approved permits, which I believe poses a greater threat to our community. <br /> <br />Considerations to include but not limited to; <br /> <br />Collection of data regarding like businesses. <br /> <br />A thorough study of other cities permit requirements and policy of enforcement. <br /> <br />Conditional use status of such businesses to insure that if there is any improper abuse of the permit that its <br />permit will be denied for that location. <br /> <br />=OA <br />The current number of Iike- businesses in the city/area. <br /> <br />It's location in respect to schools, student walking routes, and impact on nearby residents and business owners. <br /> <br />Criminal records of property/license holders and their employees <br /> <br />Thorough health / safety /Iegal requirements for all employees, permit and property owners. (Similar to child <br />care and school employees who have basic TB, fingerprint and criminal background checks) <br /> <br />Posting of a bond or insurance policy to pay for any health and legal related liability claims by any regulatory <br />agency, customer or employee. <br /> <br />With the city of Redwood City making plans for its future, it stands to reason we must plan also for insuring the <br />best for its residents.
