WORK PLAN <br /> <br />Publicity for the public workshops will be through mass media coordinated by PMC including at <br />least one display advertisement in a local newspaper designated by the City. PMC will provide text <br />and graphic design services for all publicity. The City will cover the costs of advertisement charged <br />by media outlets. <br /> <br />1 oint Housing and Human Concerns Committee and Planning- Commission meeting <br />PMC will facilitate a joint meeting of the Housing and HumanConcems Committee and Planning <br />Commission. This meeting will include membership of the Senior Affairs Commission and the <br />Commission on Disabilities. This meeting will be to specifically obtain the input of City <br />Commissioners on the needs of Redwood City's residents and the relative priority of those needs. <br />The meeting will also serve as a fmal opportunity for members of public and stakeholder. groups to <br />participate that were not able to attend previous meetings. <br /> <br />Strategic Plan - Housinl{ and HumanConcems Committee <br />. PMC will facilitate a meeting of the Housing and Human Concerns Committee. The meeting will <br />present the community needs information . and summarize the planning process to date including a <br />review of needs and issues obtained from consulr.ations and meet.ingswith stakeholders and <br />residents. PMC will then work with the Committee to identify the programs and policies that will <br />shape the Five-Year Strategic Plan. <br /> <br />PMC will participate in the following public hearings: <br /> <br />Draft Strategic Plan <br />A public hearing before the Housing and Human Concerns Committee at the completion of the <br />Five-Year Strategic Plan. The purpose of tllls hearing will be to . review the strategy and <br />programmatic goals and to confmn that the community's needs are adequately addressed. This will <br />be followed by a public meeting with the Planning Commission to confmn that the goals are <br />consistent with the General Plan. <br /> <br />Final Consolidated Plan and Annual Action P1m <br />A public hearing before the Housing and Human Concerns Committee after funding <br />recommendations are made for the 2010-2011 Annual Action Plan and following the 3D-day public <br />comment period. The outcome of this meeting \V-ill be to forward the entire Consolidated Plan and <br />Annual Action Plan to the City Council for approval. <br /> <br />Consolidated Plan and Action Plan Adoption <br />A public hearing before the City Council to consider the adoption of the fmal Consolidated Plan <br />and Annual Action Plan. <br /> <br />TASK 4: FIVE~YEAR HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC <br />PLAN <br /> <br />PMC will produce a Consolidated Plan that is consistent with the requirements of Federal Regulations <br />Title 24 Section 91, et seq.and HUD's "Guidelines for Preparing a Consolidated Plan Submission for <br />Local Jurisdictions.n We will use the City's current housing and community development studies and <br />plans, recent public input obtained 2S a part of completing those plans, Census data, and other pertinent <br />available information to develop the Five- Year Strategy, <br /> <br />The Strategic Plan outlines how the City \vill address the housing and community development needs <br />over the period covered by the Consolidated Plan. PMC will work with the City and community in <br />establishing the needs, goals, and objectives for the Strategic Plan through community workshops, input <br />from City staff, and discussions with area service providers.
