Code of conduct. <br />• Membership criteria: adults, diversity culturally, business, school, spiritual leaders desired. <br />• Meeting frequency to be determined. <br />City of Walnut Creek: Chief's Community Advisory Board <br />• Intended to be an expression of the community's viewpoints, advisory to the Chief of Police <br />• Formation of strategies <br />• Development of community policing concepts <br />• Increasing public awareness <br />• Furthering engagement and transparency <br />• Identifying best practices <br />• Serve as a forum for discussions concerning community issues, such as: <br />o Use of Force <br />o Mental Health Response <br />o Criminal activity and trends <br />o Transparency <br />o Homelessness <br />o Technology <br />• Does not have power/authority to investigate, review or otherwise participate in matters involving <br />specific police personnel or specific police -related incidents. Does NOT receive/review complaints <br />initiated against personnel, nor play any role in civil or criminal litigation <br />• Membership of 10-15 residents or business owners to 2 -year terms, selected and extended by the <br />Police Chief. <br />• Membership criteria: diversity, business, education, nonprofits, public relations, faith community; <br />commitment to participate respectfully. <br />• Meets monthly <br />42 <br />
