6.F. -Page 22 of 131 <br />Attachmen A <br />Bidder's Initial <br />■ Enclosed level bubble (total of two bubbles, one each side) <br />• A glycerin filled pressure gage shall be installed at one operation station <br />■ All controls shall be capable of finite and precise movements <br />■ Two (2) telescopic work lights on each station (left and right) <br />All controls and levers shall be clearly marked and shall be in the same relative <br />sequence and position regardless of whether the operator is working curb or street. <br />Each operator station shall be provided with durable weatherproof capacity, <br />instruction and safety placards appropriately describing the crane function. <br />Hydraulic <br />System: The crane hydraulic pump shall be one (PTO powered), high pressure, high speed, <br />tandem pump. The pump shall provide 12 gpm to the crane functions and 25 gpm <br />to the winch. The control valves shall be of the "direct acting/sliding spool type" <br />with the operator control levers directly connected. Spools shall be of the low spool <br />force type with metering notches. Valves shall be four-way spring centered with <br />independent relief valves set at no greater than 3,050 +100 psi for the crane, 3,050 <br />+100 psi on the winch system and 800 psi +150 psi for rotation. All high pressure <br />hydraulic hoses shall be of a steel braid reinforced construction with a 4:1 safety <br />factor. <br />All high pressure hose fittings to be O ring seal fittings (ORS). The chassis frame <br />mounted reservoir shall be provided with a clean out port, removable magnetic <br />plug, and a 10 micron return line filter and sight gauge. 100% filtration is to be <br />provided. To minimize against overheating, the reservoir capacity shall not be less <br />than 39 gallons. Hydraulic reservoir shall be equipped with sight glass fluid level <br />gauge with thermometer and dip stick. Hydraulic system is to include a hydraulic <br />oil cooler system to prevent hydraulic oil overheating at 100% duty cycle operation. <br />Cylinders: All cylinders on the crane shall be double acting with shaft packings of <br />polyurethane U -cup type. Shafts shall be high yield, stress relieved and chrome <br />plated. Piston sets shall be of polyurethane U -cup with glass reinforced nylon <br />bearings. Cylinder barrels shall be constructed of micro -honed tubing. Safety check <br />valves shall be provided to prevent cylinder from retracting unless under power. <br />Hydraulic <br />Capacity <br />Alert <br />System: Crane shall be equipped with a hydraulic capacity alert system to assist the operator <br />in preventing crane overload when making lifts on main boom. Capacity alert <br />system shall be a hydraulically operated, maximum capacity sensing device <br />designed to stop all of the normal crane functions that can cause overload when <br />maximum capacity is exceeded on the main boom. Any function that will increase <br />the load radius plus winch up of load shall be interrupted when maximum capacity <br />is exceeded. Capacity alert system shall include a color -coded load range gauge <br />located at each operator station. Two indicator lights shall be provided to alert <br />operator of function power loss and discriminate whether hydraulic capacity alert <br />Page 19 of 20 <br />193 <br />
