These <br />quantities will be used to establish Engineer's Opinion of Probable Construction costs to <br />compare the alternatives. <br /> <br />Additional summaries for comparison of the alternatives will include listing the constraints <br />and adjacent impacts, such as access from connecting roads. <br /> <br />Deliverables: <br /> <br />A Draft Pre-Design Technical Memorandum will be provided to the City summarizing the <br />alternatives and the cost for each at the various repair locations. Exhibits depicting the <br />cross section of each alternative will be included in the Report. Geotechnical findings and <br />recommendations will be included. <br /> <br />Task ld. <br /> <br />Pre-Design Report Evaluation <br /> <br />One meeting will be held to discuss the Draft Pre-Design Report. Comments will be <br />discussed and used as the basis for Plans and Specifications. A preferred alternative will <br />be established. <br /> <br />Deliverables: Summary of meeting documenting the preferred alternative <br /> <br />Task Ie. <br /> <br />Geotechnical Services <br /> <br />Please refer to the attached proposal from ENGEO for additional detail. <br /> <br />Levee Repair Design Consultation and Analysis: <br /> <br />- Review existing subsurface information (obtained under separate contract) for areas <br />requiring repair identified by the design team <br />- Provide design criteria and mitigation alternatives for levee repair <br />- Interface with BKF in selection of preferred alternatives <br />- Provide slope stability and settlement analysis for proposed levee to be raised <br />- Prepare report summarizing fmdings and recommendations <br /> <br />Task 2. Construction Documents <br /> <br />Task 2a. <br /> <br />Coordination <br /> <br />BKF will attend one coordination meeting with City and County staff to discuss design <br />concepts and constraints. <br /> <br />BKF will coordinate with the City of Redwood City, City of San Carlos, County of San <br />Mateo, San Carlos Airport, the Airport's FAA consultant, and other consultants as needed. <br />We assume communication will be mainly via e-mail and telephone.
