Consultant shall collaborate with City and utilize the existing conditions analysis, identified <br />gaps and barriers, Pedestrian Comfort Level Analysis completed in Task 3, and <br />community input to identify pedestrian infrastructure needs around key destinations in <br />Redwood City. The identified pedestrian improvements shall support access to <br />destinations such as schools, parks, community centers, and shopping centers, <br />government facilities, and transit centers. <br />Task 8.3. Gap Closure Bicycle and Pedestrian Projects <br />By utilizing the existing barriers and gaps analysis, the pedestrian comfort level analysis, <br />recommended low -stress bicycle network, community input, and relative locations to key <br />destinations, Consultant shall identify the candidate bicycle and pedestrian gap closure <br />projects. <br />BASE DELIVERABLES: <br />• Network of recommended low -stress bicycle routes <br />• List of pedestrian projects within focus areas <br />• List of bicycle and pedestrian gap closure projects <br />Task 8.4. Potential Areas for Shared Micromobility Services (Optional) <br />Consultant shall conduct a feasibility analysis for shared micromobility services within <br />Redwood City based on potential origin/destination pairs and background data provided <br />by the City. Based on the analysis, Consultant shall identify sites and service areas that <br />have the greatest potential to support the placement of shared micromobility devices. <br />The results of the analysis shall be reflected in a map identifying the locations with the <br />greatest likelihood of successful shared micromobility implementation. <br />DELIVERABLES: <br />• Maps depicting shared micromobility suitability <br />Task 9- Bicycle and Pedestrian Projects & Programs Development <br />Consultant shall identify bicycle and pedestrian projects that have the greatest potential <br />to increase the active transportation mode share and create a low -stress network, as well <br />as policies and programs that improve active transportation knowledge and comfort <br />among those who live, work, and recreate in the City. <br />Safety projects, policies, and programs that are developed in Task 6 and identified as <br />relevant to bicycling and walking shall be included in Task 9. <br />REV: 03-04-21 PR <br />ATTY/AGR.2021.047/Fehr & Peers (Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan and Vision Zero Action P) (Page 27 of 31) <br />
