6.C. - Page 56 of 147 <br />Contractor Safety Checklist Cargill, Inc. <br />The lanyard on an SRL must be fully retracted when not in use. <br />15. Portable tools, equipment, and extension cords MUST be plugged into a portable GFCI. <br />Regardless if the outlet is GFCI protected, the portable GFCI must still be used in conjunction <br />with the portable tool. If an extension cord is being used, the portable GFCI must be placed <br />before the extension cord. The portable GFCI should be tested prior to use. <br />16. No contractor is allowed to start or stop any equipment, change process flows, or cut pipes or <br />conduits without prior approval from Cargill. <br />17. Face shield must be used over safety glasses while using compressed air. NEVER use <br />compressed air to blow debris or dirt from your body or cloths. <br />18. The contractor is expected to keep work areas clean and orderly on a daily basis. <br />19. Contractors will be required to furnish all tools needed for the job being performed. <br />20. Contractor employees may not be in possession of or under the influence of any mood altering <br />substance as detailed in the policy. <br />21. Warning of corrosive conditions: This facility is a salt production facility. Under certain <br />conditions salt can cause corrosion to your equipment. Contractors should take appropriate <br />measures to protect their equipment to minimize salt -induced corrosion. By signing this form <br />contractors acknowledge that they shall be solely responsible for any damage to equipment <br />caused by salt. Contractors shall also notify all subcontractors of the possibility of salt -induced <br />corrosion prior to the beginning of work. <br />22. Some endangered or otherwise protected species and associated habitat may be present on <br />Cargill property. Do not disturb wildlife. For example, when driving, be constantly alert for <br />marked and unmarked Snowy Plover nest sites. Immediately report all unmarked Snowy <br />Plover nest sites to Cargill.. <br />23. Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas in the facility. There is NO smoking in <br />vehicles or in the yard. Use of tobacco products such as E -Cigarettes, Vaping and chewing of <br />tobacco also fall under smoking requirements. <br />24. Pickleweed or other vegetation must not be disturbed when working on levees, or near sloughs <br />or marshes without prior approval from Cargill.. If mud, rock or other debris inadvertently <br />comes in contact with marsh vegetation, contact Cargill immediately. <br />25. Cellular phones cannot be used by a driver when their vehicle or equipment, is in motion <br />regardless of the use of hands-free devices. They must come to a complete stop and take the <br />vehicle out of gear. <br />26. Seat belts must be worn at all times on all moving equipment which comes with seatbelts. <br />27. Do not sit or lay under heavy equipment when it is not in use. <br />28. Compressed gas cylinders must be capped, upright, and properly secured. When being <br />transported, gas cylinders should have the regulator off and the caps on. <br />29. Firearms or weapons are not permitted on Cargill Property -- even in personal vehicles or even <br />if you have a permit to carry. <br />30. Knife safety - The use of exposed fixed blade and utility knives is prohibited.
