Life jackets must be worn when working on boats or on docks or wooden structures without <br />railings where there is a risk of falling into water. <br />32. Contractors must comply with all Covid-19 related requirements applicable to the work. <br />Contractor Critical Behavior Inventory <br />1.1 PREJOB INSPECTION AND PLANNING. It is not enough to identify hazards; we also have to <br />decide how to eliminate identified hazards before starting the job. <br />1.2 COMMUNICATION. Considered safe when all workers involved have been notified of any work to <br />be done, and signs or signals are understood by all. <br />1.3 BARRIERS AND GUARDS. Open holes are not left unattended, appropriate fencing or hazard tape is <br />placed around the work area, removal of guarding is conducted after de -energizing of hazardous <br />energy, and guarding is reinstalled after the work is complete. <br />2.1 LOCKOUT/TAGOUT. Considered safe when all energy sources have been eliminated and verified. <br />2.3 ELEVATED WORK. Considered safe when all workers working at a height greater than 4 -feet are <br />fully protected from a fall. When the individual is working below 4 feet, the individual maintains three <br />point contact at all times if using a ladder and not tied off. If the individual is working above four feet <br />on a ladder, the individual must be tied off AND the ladder must be tied to something structurally <br />secure <br />2.4 EYES ON PATH. Considered safe when worker always looks where they are going, making sure that <br />they avoid or clear away objects in their path that would cause them to trip, fall, or run into something <br />or someone. <br />2.5 EYES & MIND ON TASK. Keeps eyes on task, especially when working near pinch points or <br />moving equipment. Does not allow distractions while equipment is running. <br />2.6 ASCENDING/DESCENDING. Exercise caution and utilizes handrails when ascending or descending <br />stairs, ladders, ramps and vehicles. Items carried do not prevent person from maintaining contact with <br />structure. <br />2.7 ASSISTANCE. Considered safe when physical, verbal, or mechanical assistance is used to complete a <br />task. <br />2.8 LINE OF FIRE. Understanding proper body location in reference to possible falling, flying or energy <br />releasing equipment. <br />_2.9 BALANCE, TRACTION AND GRIP. Considered safe when the risks of a fall, slip, or trip have been <br />reduced. <br />3.1 HOUSEKEEPING. Considered safe when the work area is in a clean, organized condition — <br />continually, not just on occasion. <br />3.2 EXTREME TEMPERATURE. Considered safe when a worker takes adequate precautions to avoid <br />extreme heat or extreme cold, such as working in >80°F or <40°F temperatures. <br />3.3 OFFICE SAFETY. Considered safe when employees are performing office tasks hazard free. <br />4.1 TOOLS, EQUIPMENT SELECTION AND USE. Considered safe when tools and equipment being <br />used fit the task and are in good condition. <br />4.2 PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. Considered safe when personal protective equipment is <br />used to effectively defend against work place hazards. <br />4.3 VEHICLE OPERATION.
