Consultant may <br />conduct a research on available quick-build traffic calming materials in the market and <br />discuss it with City staff. <br />2.2. Data Collection and Evaluation <br />During the project kick-off meeting, City and Consultant shall discuss the traffic data <br />needed for the project evaluation. <br />Consultant shall summarize Tasks 2.1 and 2.2 in a draft Implementation Strategy <br />Memorandum. The draft memorandum will summarize implementation strategy as well <br />as present baseline condition based on the existing conditions. Consultant shall update <br />the draft memo after receipt of one set of non-conflicting comments and shall produce the <br />final Strategy Memorandum. <br />Task 2 Deliverables: <br />Draft Strategy Memorandum <br />Final Strategy Memorandum <br />Task 3 – Develop 65% Plans, Specifications and Estimates (65% PS&E) <br />3.1. 65% PS&E <br />Based on the Conceptual Design and the Implementation Strategy, Consultant shall <br />prepare the 65% design documents including plans, specifications, and estimates for the <br />City’s review and comment. The plans will be based on the latest City’s Engineering <br />Standards, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), and Caltrans <br />Standards. The 65% plans shall be accompanied with 65% specifications based on the <br />2018 Caltrans Standard Specifications and a 65% opinion of probable cost. Plans shall <br />be prepared at a scale of 1”=20’ (or other appropriate scale) in imperial unit format. <br />Quick-Build design plans shall include a horizontal layout of the proposed improvements. <br />These plans shall be prepared on aerial imagery. Other than for the Roosevelt <br />Avenue/Mcgarvey intersection’s permanent improvements, no topographic survey is <br />needed.
