An initial shutdown test will provide a preliminary assessment <br />of the integrity of the existing non-potable facilities. <br />Consultant shall summarize the results of the site evaluation in a site survey report that <br />will discuss: <br />The site information <br />The non-potable system <br />The results of the one-way cross-connection shutdown test <br />The overall conversion requirements to convert the non-potable system to recycled <br />water <br />The recycled water conversion process specific to the site <br />The estimated construction cost for the conversion of the non-potable system <br />Consultant shall submit electronically in PDF format to the City: <br />A draft site survey report within three weeks of the site visit <br />Final site survey report within one week from receipt of City comments. <br />Task 2 - Prepare recycled water retrofit plans for potential recycled water sites <br />Consultant shall prepare retrofit plans for the conversion of the existing non-potable <br />systems. Retrofit plans shall be prepared following the applicable federal, state, county, <br />and city laws, codes, ordinances, rules, and regulations, which shall include, but is not <br />limited to, Title 17 and 22 of the California Code of Regulations and the City’s Engineering <br />Design Standards. <br />Consultant shall conduct a field investigation visit with the site’s current landscape <br />maintenance company or building maintenance company to locate potable water facilities <br />and the irrigation facilities or non-potable systems that will be converted to recycled water. <br />Irrigation facilities include above-grade items such as quick coupler valves, remote control <br />valves, controllers, backflows, and meters. Potable facilities include a drinking fountain, <br />building isolation valve, hose bibs, backflows, and meters. The field investigation will use <br />existing controller maps, if available, or plumbing plans to assist with locating the existing <br />facilities. <br />Consultant shall prepare retrofit drawings (11”x 17”) that incorporate the field investigation <br />results. The irrigation system retrofit drawings will be prepared by adding recycled water <br />conversion requirements on top of an aerial map or existing irrigation drawings if <br />available. Retrofit of potential dual-plumbed facilities will be prepared by adding recycled <br />water conversion requirements on top of existing plumbing plans. <br />The list of drawings shall include: <br />A title sheet and standard notes <br />Location map / recycled water use areas <br />Irrigation system plan and connection details <br />Recycled water irrigation specifications and quantities table <br />ATTY/AGR.2021.253/West Yost & Associates, Inc.
