REV: 11-23-2021 C. Post-Cleaning Inspection Following the cleaning of the tanks, the Contractor shall provide a post-cleaning inspection, noting new observations not previously recorded. Post-cleaning inspection shall be considered a part of the scope of work in any tanks cleaned. No separate payment shall be made for post-cleaning inspection. D. Repairs Contractor shall notify the Water Public Works Superintendent or their designee the same business day after discovery of any structural damage that compromises the tank’s performance or ability to retain water. Should any areas be identified as needing minor repairs, the Contractor shall notify the designated representative of the Redwood City Water Division and provide a cost to complete the repairs. The City has the discretion to approve minor repairs while the Contractor is on-site, or postpone repairs for a later date. E. Report Following evaluation, cleaning and minor repair, Contractor shall prepare a written report. The report shall contain color photographs from both the interior and exterior surfaces. The report shall contain detailed recommendations for any safety, sanitary, or rehabilitation requirements along with estimated costs. The Contractor shall supply one (1) printed copy of the report, one (1) electronic copy of the report in PDF format, two (2) copies of photographs (in high-resolution JPEG format), and videos shall be provided on USB flash drives. Electronic video files shall be playable on native Windows 10 based applications and shall not require the installation of proprietary software to be viewed. Alternatively, photographs taken may be provided on two (2) copies of CD, and the video inspection of tanks may be provided as two (2) copies of DVDs. The Contractor shall provide copies of all aforementioned reports, photographs and videos for each tank to Redwood City Public Works staff within 30 days of completion of the cleaning, inspection and repair. All reports, photographs and videos shall become property of the Redwood City Public Works Services Department. F. Safety Plan Work must be performed in accordance with the latest AWWA, CA State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), and OSHA regulations. This shall include, but is not limited to, OSHA standards for tank and confined spaces entry. Contractor is required to submit a written safety plan to the designated representative of the Redwood City Water Division prior to commencing any work. G. Warning Signs and Barricades If required, the Contractor shall provide suitable warning signs and barricades to protect the public from injury due to its operations or presence of its equipment on or near the site of work.
