REV: 12-02-2021 VR <br />iv.Gas valve boxes and gas lines. <br />v.Traffic signal boxes, street light boxes, utility vaults, electrical poles, loop <br />detectors, traffic sign posts, street lights, and electrical lines. <br />vi.Cable TV boxes, Cable TV lines, telephone poles, telephone lines and overhead <br />lines. <br />vii.Fiber optics communication lines. <br />viii.Street monuments and benchmarks. <br />ix.Tax assessors lot lines, Property line or lot boundaries, easements and right-of- <br />way lines, house addresses (approximate, from City Block Books and County <br />Recorder/Maps office), water services, gas services and sewer laterals. <br />x.Curb & gutter, sidewalks, driveways and wheelchair ramps within the right of way <br />with minimum diameter 6-inches at breast height and street facing fences within <br />the right of way (indicate fence type/material). <br />xi.Trees and fences. <br />c.Base map shall be completed in Autodesk Civil 3D, 2018 or latest version (using the <br />City's standard CAD layers) at a scale of 1"=20'. The City’s standard CAD layers will <br />be provided to Consultant upon request. Text information and other entities shall be <br />readable at this scale when plotted on a plan and profile sheet. Final plotted text <br />height shall be 0.1". Civil 3D surface shall be provided in the drawing with 1-foot <br />contour intervals. Each major contour interval shall be labeled accordingly. <br />i.Survey station shall be at center line of street at 50 feet intervals, 25 feet stations <br />on curves, beginning at centerline of street intersections or manholes as noted <br />on the location map (see attached location map). Indicate the following items: <br />spot elevations at each 50-foot station, centerline, lip of gutter or edge of <br />pavement, face of curb at flow line, back of curb, sidewalk, planting strip or <br />landscape area and right-of-way line or property line. <br />ii.Base map topographic survey shall extend 25 feet beyond centerline of end <br />manholes and/or shall extend 50 feet beyond street intersections in all possible <br />directions. Please see attached location map for reference. <br />iii.Survey stationing 1+00 shall start at centerline of street intersection or centerline <br />of manholes unless otherwise noted. Please see attached location map with <br />notations of recommended starting point of Station. <br />iv.Redwood City Datum shall be used in preparing the topographic survey. The City <br />will provide the location of the nearest benchmark if required. Benchmark <br />information used shall be noted on the topographic survey. North American <br />Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88) shall be used. All data on other vertical datum’s <br />shall be converted to NAVD88. Please refer to City’s Attachment J –Comparison <br />of Datum on EXHIBIT “D” of the RFP. The North American Datum of 1983 <br />(NAD83) shall be used as horizontal and geometric control datum. <br />v.The Consultant shall request the As-Built/Record Drawings from utility companies <br />(e.g. Comcast, PG&E, AT&T, Pacific Bell, SVCW, MCI, SFPUC, Calwater, RCN, <br />SVCW, etc.) to the selected consultant for inclusion in the survey base map.
