Controls will be designed with back-up level controller in <br />case of PLC failure. <br />PG&E Service Line Upgrade <br />1.PG&E Service Upgrade Application and coordination with PG&E are included in <br />the scope of design work, if required. <br />2.To provide adequate time for PG&E review, Consultant will contact and prepare <br />applications package right after project kick-off meeting. <br />Standby Emergency Generator <br />1. Consultant team will assess the power requirements and provide the City with <br />design considerations for a suitably sized and adequately rated new standby <br />emergency generator. <br />Force Main <br />1.Consultant will replace existing forcemain in its current horizontal/vertical <br />alignment. Consultant will use as-built profile (if available) or use a straight line <br />profile interpolation between proposed flow meter and gravity manhole to which <br />the existing forcemain discharges to. <br />2.The existing ACP force mains will be replaced with suitable PVC pipe. <br />3.Subject to City’s consideration and approval, the Consultant team recommends <br />the use of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) that is durable in strength, possess <br />flexibility, corrosion resistant and is a product of choice for sewage service. <br />4.Consultant will size the new forcemain and upsize it if needed. Potholing and/or <br />performing condition assessment of forcemain and gravity system downstream of <br />force main is not included in the scope but can be provided as additional service. <br />Pump Station Yard <br />1.Field investigation of the existing pump station facility will be verified to establish <br />existing conditions and repair/replacement requirements, as needed. <br />2.All existing AC pavement will be removed and replaced, where needed. <br />3.All existing concrete pad, concrete pavement, concrete sidewalk and curb and <br />gutter will be replaced, where needed. <br />4.The existing domestic water service line and associated appurtenances will be <br />removed and replaced. <br />5.An appropriately sized recycled water pipeline, quick coupler valve, backflow <br />preventer and other appurtenances will be provided to replace the existing line. <br />6.Landscape will be restored including but not limited to grass lawn, plants and etc., <br />as needed. <br />7.A new bypass manhole(s) at influent line(s) will be included in the design, as <br />needed.
