Subtask A* Coordination and Meetings with Outside Agencies <br />Consultant will conduct meetings (virtual) and conference calls with staff from other <br />agencies that doing projects that are relevant to the Project, including but not limited to <br />Caltrans, Army Corps of Engineers, California Fish and Wildlife, ABAG, Regional Water <br />Quality Control Board, San Mateo County, the City of Menlo Park, and the City of San <br />Carlos. <br />Deliverables: <br />• Up to ten (/ 0) virtual meetings and related email follow-up <br />Task B: Background Research and Analysis <br />Subtask B.1: Review Existing Information <br />Consultant will review relevant City documents regarding current and in -process master <br />plans and information related to downtown project plans and open space as identified by <br />the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director or Designee. Consultant will <br />dentify relevant issues, needs, questions, constraints, and opportunities that may <br />influence or impact the Project. <br />Deliverables: <br />• Summary memo of issues/topics that relate to or affect the downtown project <br />Subtask B.2: Site Assessment <br />Consultant will perform field review of existing conditions of the project sites, and relevant <br />downtown projects and open space. Consultant's review will supplement the initial site <br />tour (April 15, 2021) and may be conducted following preparation of base maps. This <br />assessment will be conducted during two separate site visits to accommodate new <br />information. Consultant will review existing and proposed bike routes in the downtown <br />area and connections to the Bay Trail. <br />Deliverables: <br />Two (2) site assessment visits <br />Opportunities and constraints diagram for each park, and creek trail, with references to <br />connections to Bay Trail <br />Provide native files <br />Subtask B.3: Project Base Maps for Conceptual Park Planning of Three Sites <br />Consultant will prepare project base maps using existing digital (AutoCAD) information <br />provided by the City. Consultant will produce base maps will be suitable for use in public <br />workshops and conceptual park planning tasks. The base maps will include elements <br />including but not limited to topography, trees, buildings, and all pedestrian and vehicular <br />circulation systems. The base maps will be useful for comparisons between existing <br />conditions and proposed improvements.
