Consultant shall consider the interplay with the Water <br />Capacity Charge, incorporate the cost of any capital improvement projects that are <br />typically covered by this fee, consider recycled water development needs, and <br />include review of the total charge for a single-family residential home and medium <br />and large mixed-use developments. <br />•Water Capacity Charge: for new service connections to pay a fair portion of <br />existing capacity and to provide for capital facilities that improve the City’s ability <br />to supply water within the City’s service area, by increasing the supply available <br />and reducing demand for potable water <br />•Water connection fees <br />o Water Service Meter Fee: to provide for the installation of a water service <br />meter <br />o Service Line Installation: for the City, as requested, to install a service line <br />connecting a water line to the water main <br />o Main Tapping Fee: for the City to perform all tapping work required to <br />connect a water line to a water main <br />o After-Hours Re-Connection Fee: As requested, for direct costs associated <br />with the City turning on water meters or classes of water meters during non- <br />business hours of the Public Works Division <br />* Potential New Development Impact, Regulatory, and/or Service Fees <br />•Construction Meter Penalty Fee: for failure to report any meter readings on a <br />monthly basis <br />•Cross Connection Control Inspection Fee: for the City to inspect, as needed, <br />the property of a customer-user, but limited to, inspecting any property which has <br />a water connection to the City’s water supply, in order to determine whether there <br />exists on such property an unreported or unregistered auxiliary water supply or <br />any other condition which requires installation of backflow preventors <br />•Cross Connection Control Testing Fee: to recover the cost for City staff to <br />prepare, review, perform or oversee a cross connection control test as required for <br />a facility per plumbing code, state water code, or city code or permit <br />•Cross Connection Control Program Administrative Fee: an annual fee to <br />recover the cost to maintain records and administer the program associated with <br />facilities required to conduct cross connection control tests per plumbing code, <br />state water code, or city code or permit <br />•Plan and Permit Review for Recycled Water: to recover the costs for Public <br />Works staff to review plans for new construction and redevelopment relating to the <br />use of recycled water and cross-connection control <br />o Recycled Water Engineering Report Review Fee: to recover the cost for <br />City staff to review an Engineering Report for the internal and external use <br />of recycled water of a facility and coordinate with the Ca-SWRCB Division <br />of Drinking Water and SF-Regional Water Quality Control Board as required <br />to obtain approval for the use of recycled water per state law, City Code, <br />and the City’s Recycled Water Development Standard Attachment U of <br />Volume III of the City’s Engineering Standards <br />ATTY/AGR.2022.318/HF&H Consultants, LLC (Page 22 of 27)
