REV: 10-05-2022 VR <br />sequencing the active site work areas as work progresses, to minimize the footprint of <br />the restricted active work area at any given time during the work. Consultant shall furnish <br />and place proper signage, safety cones, high visibility delineators, caution tape, and <br />temporary physical barricades for site access control and the prevention of accidents, as <br />needed. Consultant is responsible for determining the necessary safety devices to be <br />used during direct push technology injection activities. Traffic control devices will be, at a <br />minimum, in accordance with applicable state and/or local codes. <br />1.1.4. Utility Clearance <br />Consultant shall perform a dig alert notification with the required notification for utility <br />location by the affected utilities. The proposed injection activity areas shall be clearly <br />marked in white by the Consultant prior to performing the dig notification. <br />Consultant shall provide on-site utility location and identification services prior to <br />conducting intrusive work (including drilling) in any given active work area as work <br />progresses. Utility location services will, at a minimum, include: <br />Visual inspection to locate site features manholes, valve boxes, etc. in addition <br />to utility company mark-out and existing site utility information; <br />Electromagnetic trace and ground penetrating radar of underground utilities; <br />Surface scan of proposed direct push technology injection locations to locate <br />active and abandoned electrical lines and conduits; <br />Magnetic scan to identify buried metallic objects; <br />Hand auger to a depth of 5 ft bgs to expose possible unknown utilities; <br />Marking of unknown utility locations; and <br />Identifying overhead utilities. <br />Consultant shall clear for utilities, which include but is not limited to irrigation systems, at <br />every injection location. Consultant shall be fully responsible for repair of any damaged <br />utilities that may occur as a result of their work. <br />1.1.5. Spill Contingency Plan <br />Consultant shall prepare a Spill Contingency Plan to include best management practices <br />that will be implemented in case of spills, equipment failure or daylighting of injection <br />materials. The Spill Contingency Plan will outline Best Management Practice (BMP) <br />measures to be undertaken in order to limit potential storm water impacts from the Site <br />activities (e.g., preventing accidental spills and disturbed soil from impacting storm water <br />via storm drains, sheet flow, etc.). Possible measures shall include, but are not limited <br />to, deploying absorbent socks and booms, use of wet vacuums, berms, and drain covers. <br />1.1.6 Mobilization <br />Consultant shall be responsible for mobilization. This shall include all activities related to <br />transportation of personnel, equipment, and operating supplies to the site; establishment <br />of temporary offices within the Staging Area only to the extent allowed by Access <br />Agreements with the property owners and included in pre-construction plan submittals <br />approved by the Public Works Director or designee; and any other necessary general <br />temporary facilities for the Consultant's operations at the site, and other items as <br />ATTY/AGR.2022.348/Regenesis Bioremediation Products (Page 13 of 34)
