BASMAA PCB SAMPLING Consultant shall prepare and provide to the City a screening assessment as required before demolition the buildings to be demolished (Screening Assessment). The Screening Assessment will determine whether buildings proposed for demolition are likely to have PCBs-containing building materials and will determine if PCBs are present at a concentration equal to or greater than 50 parts per million (ppm) in building materials. The Screening Assessment shall be prepared in compliance with the requirements of the Bay Area Stormwater Management Agencies Association (BASMAA) document titled “PCBs in Priority Building Materials: Model Screening Assessment Applicant Package, Managing PCBs-Containing Building Materials during Demolition: Guidance, Tools, Outreach and Training” dated August 2018 (Revised 11/7/19),including the requirement that demolition permitees have conducted a model PCB Priority Building Materials Screening Assessment to ensure that PCBs do not enter the municipal storm drains from demolition activities Evaluation protocol has been established by the BASMAA for structures constructed or remodeled between 1950 and 1980. After the pre demo survey is completed Consultant will provide City with a separate proposal for items found that meet the BASMAA criteria. FEES The lump sum fee for this Scope #1 as outlined above is $5,630.00. This fee includes technicians’ time, project management, clerical, report, equipment, sampling media, and analytical fees. SCOPE #2: Consultant shall provide a pre-demolition PCB Screening Assessment of the Maple Street Shelter located at 1580 Maple Street, Redwood City, CA 94603 (Project Site).
