REV: 03-10-23 JB responsible for ensuring that all work is built to the standards defined by the contract documents. Services could include, but are not limited to the following activities: A. Project Management. Serve as the City’s representative on a variety projects. Support services will be performed independently and with minimal direction. Other consultant staff supervised by the lead engineer may be used to complete assigned work efficiently and expeditiously. Typical services to be provided include: p) Perform initial design assessments, alternatives analysis, utility conflict analysis and preliminary design services. Investigate existing conditions, review records and engineering data; q) Manage municipal public works projects from the preliminary design stages through the completion of construction. Attend meetings, prepare minutes and other forms of correspondence, perform plan checking, prepare and review specifications and contract documents, coordinate with project stakeholders and outside agencies, perform constructability reviews, manage the bidding and project award process, provide design support during construction in the form of responses to Requests for Information (“RFIs”), evaluation of submittals and review of progress payments; r) Develop plans and specifications through final design and preparation of bid package; s) Process plans and specifications through other agencies for review and approvals corresponding to special funding programs and/or permits; t) Participate in the technical review and updating of engineering standard plans, details, specifications best practices and/or standard policies; u) Review and comment on infrastructure projects associated with development activity; v) Draft grant applications; w)Provide outreach support through the production of staff reports, exhibits, drawings, PowerPoint presentations, etc.; x) Perform other project-related duties as required. B. Design: Develop plans and specifications through final design and preparation of bid package a) Perform initial site assessments including existing site plans, utility conflict analysis, arborist reports, engineering data or other documents as required b) Develop Initial Design (50% Design Submittal): This initial design will be used as the basis for the development of the Final Design. The tasks include, but are not limited to, the following: a. Develop 50% Design Submittal which shall include, but not limited to, demolition plan, site grading and piping plan, general and construction notes, construction phasing options, construction details, outline technical specifications, possible staging areas, temporary construction easements, and estimate of construction costs. The design calculations and analysis should include all final engineering calculations, any miscellaneous technical data, ATTY/AGR.2023.041/Verde Design (Oncall Services) (Page 13 of 17)
