Sidewalks shall be a minimum of 12 feet wide. <br />• Within the Transit District, wider sidewalks (average of 14 feet) shall be <br />required on Franklin and Hamilton streets to support increased pedestrian <br />activity. <br />d. Pedestrian Improvements <br />• Within the DTPP (including the Transit Districtl. protected pedestrian <br />crossings (such as HAWK signals), protected intersections, and bus <br />loading improvements shall be installed on EI Camino Real in accordance <br />with the EI Camino Real Corridor Plan (Caltrans approval required). <br />• Main Street intersections at Broadway and Veterans Boulevard in <br />accordance with the Walk Bike Thrive Plan. <br />• Broadway intersections at Walnut Street and Mable Street in accordance <br />with the Walk Bike Thrive Plan. <br />• Brewster Avenue intersections at Arguello Street, Winslow Street. and <br />Veterans Boulevards in accordance with the Walk Bike Thrive Plan. <br />• Under Caltrain tracks at James: a pedestrian and bicycle undercrossing <br />to connect to Winslow Street. <br />(RENUMBER SUBSEQUENT SECTIONS) <br />G) Public Open Space <br />Public Open Space frontage treatment applies when development is built directly adjacent to a <br />public open space, without a street in-between, and is intended to provide appropriate access <br />and aesthetic relationships between the open spaces and adjacent buildings. <br />1. Standards <br />a. Public Frontage elements shall be arranged as shown in the <br />illustration below. Within the DTPP (including Transit District), the public frontage <br />shall include art, wayfinding signage, seating, or paving treatments in order to <br />activate the frontages and promote pedestrian safety. <br />b Within the Transit D'Strirt Within the DTPP (including Transit District), privately <br />owned but publicly -accessible open space shall be located adjacent to ground <br />floor active uses or programming, shall include clear sight lines to public <br />amenities (which may include furnishings, lighting, art, and landscaping), and <br />shall be visually and physically accessible to the public. <br />2.5.
