REV: 11-15-23 SK <br />community engagement strategies to inform and obtain input as well as identify target <br />audiences. <br />»Education and Outreach Materials: Consultant will prepare outreach materials and <br />collateral in both printed and digital formats and in both English and Spanish languages <br />with public-friendly visuals that help explain the project and the process to reach the <br />project outcomes. Consultant will include the following in some of these materials: a <br />project fact sheet, webpages, community meeting flyers/mailers, comment cards, <br />display boards/exhibits, and PowerPoint presentations. <br />»Public Surveys: Consultant will develop two (2) rounds of online surveys to solicit public <br />input on safety issues and concerns in the project area and to gain feedback on design <br />alternatives as project phases progress. Consultant may use Social Pinpoint, an online <br />map survey tool that utilizes the same survey logic and dynamic answer format available <br />on the standard survey platforms combined with interactive mapping and location- <br />specific data collection capabilities. <br />»Community Outreach Meetings: Consultant will plan, coordinate, and attend up to three <br />(3) Community Outreach meetings which will be scheduled at strategic junctures of the <br />project to solicit feedback from the public. <br />»Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) Meetings: Consultant will prepare materials <br />for two (2) TAC meetings to allow for ample discussion of the technical components of <br />the project, the public outreach process and feedback received, and the geometric <br />designs while allowing for an opportunity to respond to any Commission or Council <br />member questions or comments. <br />»Pop-Ups: As an additional recommended outreach activity, City may ask Consultant to <br />conduct up to two (2) pop-up events within the project corridors. Pop-ups allow the <br />project team to meet residents where they are as opposed to asking them to get actively <br />involved in the project. <br />Task 4 – Develop Design Concepts <br />Consultant will develop up to two (2) Concept Plans for Broadway Avenue. The concept design <br />plans must show the proposed design layouts for pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements, <br />including potential road dieting, bulb-outs, and bikeway improvements. The Concept Plans must <br />consider potential stormwater implications. The Concept Plans will be used for community <br />outreach and may be iterated. Up to two (2) rounds of City comments prior to final concept plans <br />are anticipated. <br />This task also assumes a design concept exhibit for Vera Avenue based on the quick-build plans <br />for discussion at Community Outreach meeting. <br />ATTY/AGR.2023.270/Kimlet Horn (Access to Downtown Bikeways) (Page 13 of 16)
