REV: 02-16-24 SK <br />design parameters in lieu of obtaining a site-specific geotechnical investigation and <br />report. <br />•If it is determined by City that geotechnical exploration is required for the Project <br />area for replacement of rectangular concrete, then Consultant will provide the <br />services listed under Task 8 – Optional Geotechnical Investigation and Report. <br />Task 3 –Design for $28,100 LS <br />90% Design <br />•Consultant will develop a 90% Design Submittal. Consultant will use existing <br />stationing based on record drawings or establish new project stationing. <br />•The following are excluded from Consultant’s scope of design and will only be <br />performed with an approved task authorization: <br />o Staging Plan <br />o Access Plan <br />o Dewatering Plan <br />o Demolition and disposal plan <br />o Survey control plan <br />o Utility relocations plans for sewer, and storm drain laterals (small pipes), <br />electrical, telephone, gas, fiber optic, and other dry utilities, impacted by the <br />channel improvements for the Project). <br />o Hydraulic analysis of channel. <br />•The 90% design will comply with permitting agencies requirements such as <br />Department of Fish and Wildlife, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Water Boards. <br />•Consultant will develop construction costs for the project; unit prices will be <br />developed based upon recent contractor bid summaries for applicable <br />improvement projects in California for which Consultant’s team was the Engineer <br />of Record (thus assuring that the baseline understanding of the bids received are <br />applicable to the Project). Consultant has design approximately $75 Million in <br />channel, floodwall, and levee improvements since 2006, providing a substantial <br />amount of recent, and applicable cost data. Where similar bid tabulations are not <br />available, industry cost estimating guides, such as Means Heavy Construction <br />Cost Data, will be utilized. Appropriate adjustments for the bid date and location of <br />the work will be applied to the estimates. <br />•Consultant will provide Specifications in accordance with the City of Redwood City <br />standards with the technical specifications format as approved in the Sample <br />Drawing. It is anticipated that the City of Redwood City General Specification will <br />be used on the project and updated to contain the project requirements. <br />•The 90% Design Submittal will include complete construction drawings consisting <br />of a: <br />o Title Sheet with Sheet Index <br />o Standard Notes and Details <br />o Construction Notes <br />o Plan and Profile Drawing <br />ATTY/AGR.2024.016/Wood Rodgers, Inc.
