REV: 02-16-24 SK
o Structural Sections and Details of new rectangular hydraulic concrete
channel that matches existing in-situ dimensions.
•Hydraulic analyses are not included in this proposal as it is assumed that a design
that does not reduce the cross-sectional area of the channel can be developed. If
constraints require a design that does reduce the area, then hydraulic analyses
will have to be conducted.
•Deliverables: Consultant will prepare the 90% Design Submittal documents and
will present one digital set of the design drawings, technical specifications, draft
supporting structural calculation, draft bid tabulation, and Engineer’s opinion of
probable construction cost to the City for review.
100% Design
•Consultant will develop a 100% design that will address City’s outstanding
comments on the 90% Submittal and prepare the construction documents for final
bidding. The close-out of all City comments received on previous submittals will be
required for completing the 100-percent design.
•Consultant will develop the 100-percent cost estimate, and it will be presented in
the format of the bid schedule, for preparation of Engineer’s opinion of probable
cost. The final engineering calculations shall also include any miscellaneous
technical data, maintenance considerations and catalogue cuts for any special
equipment. Consultant will prepare the corresponding Structural engineering
calculations in support of all final design submittals.
•The 100% design will address any comments from the permitting agencies
requirements such as Department of Fish and Wildlife, U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, and Water Boards.
•Consultant will prepare the final construction documents for City to make available
to potential bidders. It is assumed that City will perform all reproduction or will
contract a local business for reproduction services, to make the document
available to potential bidders.
•Deliverables: Consultant will prepare the 100% Final Design Submittal documents
and will present on digital set of the design drawings, technical specifications,
supporting structural calculations, bid tabulation, and Engineer’s opinion of
probable construction cost to City for review.
Task 4 – Bid Support and Construction Services for $8,445 Time & Materials (T&M)
•Consultant will provide clarifications during the bid phase, attend the pre-bid
meeting, respond to questions from contractors, and issue addenda as directed by
City.
•Consultant will attend and conduct a pre-bid meeting and coordinate with City to
respond to up to five (5) requests for information (RFIs) or clarification during
bidding.
•Consultant will attend the pre-construction meeting and will conduct one (1) site
visit for the purpose of structural observation. The construction observation will
occur upon completion of steel reinforcement placement prior to concrete pouring.
ATTY/AGR.2024.016/Wood Rodgers, Inc.
