Their responsibilities include coordinating with multiple stakeholders, maintaining project <br />timelines, and ensuring the Project stays within budget. However, <br />Thompson Builders has been unable to maintain the original project schedule and has extended the <br />expected completion date. <br />Due to these delays, the City needs to amend the agreements with ELS as the Construction Administrator, <br />and with Gilbane as Project Manager, to extend their services. <br />Construction Administration refers to the duties performed by architects during the construction phase <br />of a project to ensure the project is being built according to the approved plans, specifications, and <br />contract documents. It serves to maintain the design intent, ensuring the finished product is consistent <br />with the approved drawings and design. <br />Key responsibilities typically include: <br />Observation and Site Visits: Regularly visiting the construction site to observe the progress and quality <br />of the executed work. <br />Reviewing Shop Drawings and Submittals: Reviewing detailed drawings or plans submitted by the <br />contractor to ensure they conform to the design concept. <br />6.G. - Page 3 of 19 <br />68
