<br />3. Prepare for review by City, a draft basis of design report, including but not limited to, details,
<br />catalogue cuts, product literature for suitability and availability of products, constructability
<br />considerations and project constraints, as well as supporting engineering calculations.
<br />4. Prepare Final basis of design, incorporating City review comments.
<br />Deliverables:
<br />Digital copies of the basis of the draft/final design report shall be submitted.
<br />Task 4: 60% Design Submittal
<br />The Final Basis of Design Report will be used as the basis for the development of the Bid
<br />Documents. The tasks include:
<br />1. Develop 60% Design Submittal which will include demolition plans, site grading,
<br />landscaping/driveway improvements as required, fencing/screening, general and construction
<br />notes, pipe connection details, construction details and sections, technical specifications,
<br />possible staging areas, bypass sequencing, and estimate of construction costs. The design
<br />calculations and analysis will include all engineering calculations, any miscellaneous technical
<br />data, maintenance considerations and catalogue cuts for any special equipment.
<br />2. Contact utilities agencies and coordinate relocation, if necessary. Show utilities on drawings.
<br />3. Evaluate whether existing PG&E service is adequate for the improvements. If not, Schaaf &
<br />Wheeler’s subconsultant TJCAA to coordinate with PG&E for installation of new electrical
<br />service including submission of documents for service application, if needed.
<br />4. Coordinate with City’s SCADA consultant, Telstar Instruments, for the 60% design of the PLC
<br />unit and control system programming.
<br />5. Prepare for review by City, 60% construction drawings consisting of plan views, profiles,
<br />cross-sections, construction notes, detailing of major components, utility connection points,
<br />specification outline, construction cost estimates, construction schedule and other documents.
<br />Deliverables:
<br />Digital copies of the basis of design report memorandum, 60% plan set (including AutoCAD
<br />DWG files), specifications, and Engineer’s Estimate. One meeting shall be scheduled with City
<br />staff after review of the 60% submittal prior to proceeding with the 90% Design Submittal.
<br />Task 5: 90% Design Submittal
<br />With the City's approval, the Consultant shall proceed with the 90% Design Submittal. Specific
<br />tasks in this phase include:
<br />1. Incorporate 60% Design Deliverable review comments.
<br />2. Prepare for review by City, 90% Design Submittal consisting of construction documents
<br />including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. The submittal will include, but is not
<br />limited to, site grading plan, cross-section details, structural details, complete technical
<br />specifications, estimate of construction cost, electrical details, civil details, structural details,
<br />mechanical details, and any catalogue cuts for any special material proposed for use in the
<br />project.
