Addi�onally, establishing good <br />communica�ons prac�ces will help the project team communicate with these groups when <br />construc�on begins. <br />4.1 Advocacy Partners <br />Listed below are ins�tu�onal partners who have been involved in suppor�ng this project in the past. <br />Project team aims to meet with them at least once a year to con�nue engaging with them for project <br />advocacy. Addi�onal list of supporters can be found in Appendix D. <br />4.1.1. The Port of Redwood City <br />The Port of Redwood City is the only deepwater port in the south San Francisco Bay, <br />and also includes over a mile of publicly accessible walkways and viewing areas along <br />the bay shore. An agency of the City of Redwood City, it is led by a Board of five City <br />Council-appointed Port Commissioners. RWC Port tenants primarily transport <br />construction materials and industrial-scale recycling for public agencies and private <br />companies from South San Francisco to Silicon Valley. In Fiscal Year 2022/23, a total of <br />97 vessels transported 1,825,883 metric tons of goods via the Port. <br /> <br />4.1.2. Kaiser Permanente <br />Kaiser Permanente’s Redwood City Medical Center is located on 1100 Veterans Blvd., <br />between Walnut and Maple Street. The medical center has multiple buildings and <br />includes medical offices, pharmacies, administration offices, emergency services, and <br />after-hours care. <br /> <br />4.1.3. San Mateo County Economic Development Associa�on (SAMCEDA) <br />SAMCEDA was founded in 1953 to promote business issues that enhance and sustain <br />the economic prosperity of the San Mateo region and its local communities. It offers an <br />influential voice on issues that affect businesses, education, non-profit, and residents. <br />The rapid pace of change demands that SAMCEDA meet an ever-changing environment <br />with information, ideas, and tools our members can use to remain one step ahead. <br />4.1.4. Seaport Industrial Associa�on (SIA) <br />An organization of industrial businesses in the port area of Redwood City, the Seaport <br />Industrial Association is a Redwood City Business Association that aims to provides <br />infrastructure for the growing peninsula. <br /> <br />4.1.5. Stanford Health Care <br />Stanford’s state-of-the-art, multi-specialty outpatient center in Redwood City brings <br />more access to Stanford Medicine specialists for a wide range of services, including <br />new digestive health and pelvic health clinics. Our 360,000 square foot multi-specialty <br />center not only offers leading-edge care, but access to comprehensive diagnostics, <br />same-day procedures, cancer screenings, second opinions, and clinical trials.
