Stanford Redwood City <br />A center of excellence for critical areas that support the university’s mission of research <br />and education, Stanford purchased the land in 2005, shortly after Stanford Health Care <br />purchased four buildings on Broadway that are now outpatient clinics. Over the next 11 <br />years, the university developed plans, conducted extensive public outreach, sought <br />community feedback and worked with the planning commission and city council in the <br />approval process. Today, the new campus includes four modern office buildings, a café <br />and outdoor promenade and plazas, a childcare center, parking garage and employee <br />wellness center. <br />4.1.7. Water Emergency Transporta�on Authority (WETA ) <br />The San Francisco Bay Area WETA is a regional public transit agency tasked with <br />operating and expanding ferry service on the San Francisco Bay and with coordinating <br />the water transit response to regional emergencies. Under the San Francisco Bay <br />Ferry brand, WETA carries over three million passengers annually utilizing a fleet of 15 <br />high speed passenger-only ferry vessels. San Francisco Bay Ferry currently serves the <br />cities of Alameda, Oakland, Richmond, San Francisco, South San Francisco, and Vallejo. <br />WETA is committed to working with cities, communities, and stakeholders to establish <br />new ferry routes where the proposed route reduces traffic congestion in the transit <br />corridor, is cost effective and financially viable. <br />4.2 Other Stakeholders <br />4.2.1. Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) <br />The project has improvements on or near UPRR rail facili�es as shown below. The <br />project improvements include the following: <br />• Veterans Boulevard, DOT 754963D: At grade vehicles, pedestrian, and bicycle <br />crossing <br />• US 101, DOT754965S, MP 27.214, Redwood Harbor Ind Lead: Replacing off-ramp <br />structure over the tracks. <br />• Bayshore Freeway, DOT 754966Y, MP 27.24, Redwood Harbor Ind Lead: Replacing <br />on-ramp structure over the tracks. <br />• Stein Am Rhein Court, DOT 748351T: Class I bicycle path and pedestrian crosswalk <br />enhancements to Old Seaport Blvd. The improvements do not touch UPRR <br />facilities. <br />• Blomquist Street, DOT 973869T: At grade vehicles, pedestrian, and bicycle <br />crossing <br />• Blomquist Street, DOT 754968M: At grade vehicles, pedestrian, and bicycle <br />crossing <br />Contact: <br />Trevor Taylor, Public Project Representative <br />W: (916)245-2517; M: (530)227-1694 <br />
