Relevant Safety Codes – The project shall comply with all applicable Building, Fire and Safety codes. [SDR][BUILDING] <br />61. Police Radios – Antennae or repeaters shall be installed inside the parking levels to ensure there are no “dead zones” with regard to police hand held radios. [COA][POLICE] <br />Construction-Related Activities <br /> <br />62. Sales Tax – Applicant shall register with the Board of Equalization to create and ID for the purposes of allocating sales tax from project construction and operations to Redwood City. Registration shall occur prior to submittal of first project-related building permit. [COA][FINANCE] <br />63. Hours of Construction – Construction activity is permitted between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except as permitted on weekends by the Building Official, and shall adhere to the City’s Noise Ordinance. If possible, the noisiest construction activities would be scheduled for daytime hours when the ambient noise levels are highest. [SDR][BUILDING] <br />64. Pre-Meeting for Construction – After City permits are approved, but prior to start of construction, the applicant shall hold a preconstruction conference with Engineering staff and other interested parties. The developer shall arrange for the attendance of the construction manager, contractor, and all subcontractors who are responsible for grading and erosion and sedimentation protection controls. Construction Material in the Right-of-Way – Construction parking, material storage, equipment, or other construction-related uses are not allowed within the City right of way without prior approval from the City Engineer. Prior to encroachment permit issuance, the applicant shall submit a construction parking management plan, which shall outline the number of construction workers by phase, phase duration, where parking will be located for each phase. [COA][ENGINEERING] <br />66. Construction & Traffic Control Plan – The applicant shall submit a Construction Traffic Routing and Parking Plan for review and approval prior to the issuance of permits. The plan shall ensure that adequate emergency access is maintained during construction. Traffic control for lane closures shall conform to the Work Area Traffic Control Handbook. Street closures require submission of traffic control plans and approval in advance. [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br />67. Lane Closures – Traffic control for lane closures shall conform to the Work Area Traffic Control Handbook; street closures require prior submission of traffic control plans to be approved in advance. [COA][ENGINEERING] <br />68. Removal & Disposal of Contaminated Soil - Removal and disposal of contaminated soil and groundwater for project excavation would require pre-notification of the GPP and implementation of GPP-defined handling and disposal protocols. The protocols are described in a soil and groundwater management plan which, would be required before construction and subject to review and approval by the City and the County GPP.
