Prior to receiving any certificate of occupancy, whether temporary or final, for the <br />internal tenant improvements, an approved GO 88-B shall be obtained from the <br />California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) for the required railroad crossing <br />improvements. The applicant shall prepare the necessary plans and provide any <br />necessary funding associated with obtaining the GO 88-B. In the event the final <br />approved plans for the crossings require any changes to previously approved site <br />plans, applicant shall be responsible for obtaining any revised permits and all costs <br />associated with the changes. b. Prior to receiving any certificate of occupancy, whether temporary or final, for the <br />internal tenant improvements, the Project applicant or Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR), <br />as determined by UPRR, shall upgrade the railroad crossings at Blomquist Street, Stein <br />Am Rhein Court, and the spur track west of the Project, as required by UPRR. The <br />applicant shall be responsible for all costs associated with the improvements. The <br />Project applicant may work with UPRR to develop and construct temporary/interim <br />improvements acceptable to UPRR to obtain a temporary certificate of occupancy. <br />[COA][ENGINEERING] 54. Shoring for Excavations – No tiebacks shall extend into the public right of way or onto <br />adjacent properties without the written agreement of the City and/or private property <br />owner. Any tie-backs within the City’s right of way shall be de-tensioned prior to permit <br />sign-off and/or project acceptance. [COA] [ENGINEERING] <br />Fire and Safety 55. Radio Coverage for Emergency Responders – All building and parking garages shall have <br />approved radio coverage for emergency responders within the building. Upon completion <br />of the building construction, a radio coverage test shall be conducted per the applicable <br />codes and standards and if the test fails an Emergency Responders Radio Coverage System <br />shall be installed. The applicant shall verify any Blue Box phone communication <br />requirements with the Redwood City Police Department. [COA][POLICE] 56. Alternate Methods and Materials Request (Sheet C-20) - The plans show automatic <br />standpipe outlets around all structures except the amenities building, suggesting these are <br />proposed as an alternative to fire apparatus access roads in accordance with CFC §503.1. A <br />formal alternate methods and materials request is required. [CFC §104.9] FC2: All alternate <br />methods and materials requests must be submitted, reviewed and approved/rejected by <br />the City of Redwood City prior to issuance of the first building permit for the project. <br />[COA][FIRE] 57. Fire Apparatus Access Road - Sheets C20 and C21- Fire apparatus access roads must be <br />provided for every building. The fire apparatus access road must extend to within 150-feet <br />of all portions of the facility and all portions of the exterior walls of the first story of the
