<br />ATTY/RESO.0051/CC RESO MEASURE A & W PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE PROGRAM CYCLE 7 <br />REV: 08-16-24 VR <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />WHEREAS, to receive grant funding, the TA requires a governing board resolution <br />from the Project Sponsor for the following items: <br /> <br />1. Supporting the Projects and applications for $2,442,000 in TA Measure A & <br />W Cycle 7 Pedestrian and Bicycle Program funds for the Projects; and <br /> <br />2. Committing the Project Sponsor to the completion of the granted phase of <br />the Projects, including the commitment of matching funds in the amount of $194,000 for <br />the Projects; and <br /> <br />3. Certifying that any funds awarded by the TA will be used to supplement <br />existing funds for program activities, and will not replace existing funds or resources; and <br /> <br />4. Authorizing the City Manager of the Project Sponsor, or her designee, to <br />sign a funding agreement with the TA, if funds are awarded, for TA pedestrian and bicycle <br />program funding for the Projects and to take any other actions necessary to give effect to <br />the resolution. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Project Sponsor staff is directed to submit four applications for TA Measure <br />A & W Cycle 7 Pedestrian and Bicycle Program funds for $2,442,000 for the Projects. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to execute a funding <br />agreement with the TA to encumber any TA A & W Cycle 7 Pedestrian and Bicycle <br />Program funds awarded. <br /> <br />3. The Project Sponsor commits to the completion of the granted phases of <br />the Projects, including the commitment of matching funds needed for implementing the <br />Projects in the amount of $194,000, if awarded the requested TA funds for the Projects. <br /> <br />4. The City Council certifies that any funds awarded by the TA will be used to <br />supplement existing funds for program activities, and will not replace existing funds or <br />resources. <br /> <br />5. The City Manager is authorized to take any other actions necessary to give <br />effect to this resolution. <br /> <br />6.
