Next steps. <br />ANALYSIS <br />Strategies and Progress on Addressing Unsheltered Homelessness in Redwood City from 2022-2024 <br />The City’s Homelessness Initiatives strategies are guided by three underlying goals: <br />A balanced approach to meeting human needs with compassion and services while also addressing <br />public health and safety and impact on the larger community. <br />Collaborating with a wide range of partners. <br />Focusing on effective action: meeting people where they are at while helping them access services <br />and housing and helping them stay housed. <br />Redwood City’s investment and work plan strategies are making a difference, resulting in a 23% decrease <br />in the unsheltered population, even as the homeless population countywide increased by 18% when <br />comparing the One Day Count numbers from 2022 to 2024: <br />8.A. - Page 2 of 7 <br />132
