<br />20 <br /> <br />receive an additional equivalent of two and one-half percent (2.5%) <br />Base Pay, for a total of five percent (5%). <br /> <br />7.12.2 College Degrees: <br />A. All employees, regardless of hire date, who have successfully <br />completed an Associate of Science (A.S.) or Associate of Arts (A.A.) <br />Degree from or accepted by an accredited college or university, will <br />receive the equivalent of two and one-half percent (2.5%) Base Pay. <br />Employees with multiple AS/AA degrees may not receive more than <br />two and one-half percent (2.5%) at this level. <br /> <br />B. All employees, regardless of hire date, who have successfully <br />completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) <br />Degree from or accepted by an accredited college or university, will <br />receive an equivalent of five percent (5%) Base Pay. <br /> <br />7.12.3 State Fire Training Certifications: Employees shall be eligible for <br />Education Incentive Pay for specified State Fire Training certifications as <br />follows: <br /> <br />A. Employees in the classification of Firefighter/Engineer who are hired <br />by the City on or after January 1, 2019, and who have successfully <br />completed the California State Fire Training Company Officer <br />Certification (i.e., completion of the coursework required for the <br />certification, and completion of as much of the certification task book <br />as possible at the employee’s current rank, subje ct to the approval <br />of the Redwood City Fire Department Training Officer) shall receive <br />one hundred twenty-nine dollars ($129) of Education Incentive Pay <br />per month. <br /> <br />B. Employees in the classification of Firefighter/Engineer who are hired <br />by the City on or after January 1, 2019, and who have successfully <br />completed the California State Fire Training Chief Fire Officer <br />Certification (i.e., completion of the coursework required for the <br />certification, and completion of as much of the certification task book <br />as possible at the employee’s current rank, subject to the approval <br />of the Redwood City Fire Department Training Officer) shall receive <br />one hundred twenty-nine dollars ($129) of Education Incentive Pay <br />per month. <br /> <br />C. Employees in the classification of Fire Captain w ho are hired by the <br />City on or after January 1, 2019, and who have successfully <br />completed the California State Fire Training Chief Fire Officer <br />Certification (i.e., completion of the coursework required for the <br />6.A. - Page 31 of 99 <br />38
