REV: 10-04-24 VR <br />Task 3 – Neighborhood Outreach <br />Consultant shall assist the City and engage with Neighborhood Outreach to confirm the results of <br />the quick build pilot and present the permanent project conceptual design in order to inform the <br />design of the permanent implementation. The goal is to solicit and collect feedback from the <br />community through various meetings to understand if any modifications are needed for the <br />permanent design. The scope of work for Community Outreach contains the following elements: <br />»Community Engagement Plan: Consultant shall work with City staff to develop a <br />Community Engagement Plan outlining a process of early, continuous, and inclusive <br />community engagement strategies to inform and obtain input as well as identify target <br />audiences. <br />»Public Surveys: Consultant shall develop one (1) round of online surveys to solicit public <br />input on safety issues and concerns in the project area from the implement of the Quick <br />Build project. <br />»Community Outreach Meeting: Consultant shall plan, coordinate, and attend one <br />Community Outreach meeting for the project. The meeting shall be scheduled in <br />coordination with City staff with the goal to solicit feedback from the neighborhood <br />residents on the pilot project and design concepts and modifications for the permanent <br />project. This task includes effort to create display boards, exhibits, graphics, maps and <br />presentation materials. <br />»Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) Meeting and Presentation: Consultant <br />shall plan, coordinate, and attend one (1) TAC meeting in-person at City Hall to allow for <br />ample discussion of the technical components of the project, the public outreach process <br />and feedback received, and the geometric designs while allowing for an opportunity to <br />respond to any TAC comments raised. <br />Task 4 – Develop 65% Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E) <br />Consultant shall develop 65% plans, specifications and an estimate of probable construction cost. <br />These shall be based on the Task 2.4 – Concept Design as well as from feedback and input <br />provided from Task 3 – Neighborhood Outreach. <br />Plans shall be prepared at a scale of 1” =20’ (or other appropriate scale) in imperial unit format. <br />Plans shall be prepared based on Caltrans standard pavement delineation details and signing <br />shall be based on the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices–California Edition, the latest <br />Caltrans Standard plans and per current published City standards. <br />Consultant shall prepare technical and special provisions documents—with the front end of the <br />specifications (boilerplate) provided by the City. Consultant shall use the City’s editable version <br />of the latest technical specifications document. Consultant shall review and update the <br />specifications with recommended revisions based on the proposed work.
