REV: 10-04-24 VR <br />The engineer’s opinion of probable construction costs shall be created based on the 65% design, <br />95% design, and 100% design plans. The estimates shall include a percentage of contingency to <br />assist in accounting for potential changes between plan submittals and project award. <br />All copies of PS&E design package will be provided to the City in electronic format. After receipt <br />of City comments on the 65% design, Consultant shall attend one (1) meeting , in-person or <br />virtual, with the City to discuss the plans and improvements and resolve comments. Significant <br />design changes to the geometry after the 65% design documents may result in additional <br />services. <br />The 65% Design Package is anticipated to include the following items: <br />o 65% Design Plans <br />o Draft Specifications <br />o Draft Opinion of Probable Cost (Construction Cost Estimate) <br />During this stage, Consultant shall also assess the construction limits to determine if the project <br />will be required to comply with the latest MRP C.3 Stormwater requirements from the Regional <br />Water Quality Control Board. This scope of work does not anticipate triggering the Stormwater <br />compliance requirement and is scoped accordingly. Consultant shall evaluate alternatives if the <br />project exceeds threshold requirements and discuss with City staff. <br />Task 5 – NEPA Technical Assistance <br />Consultant shall assist City staff as needed up to 100 hours to prepare and submit the required <br />NEPA forms and studies to Caltrans Local Assistance for timely NEPA process advancement. <br />Task 6 – Develop 95% Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E) <br />Based upon one (1) set of consolidated, non-conflicting comments from the City on the 65% plans, <br />specifications and estimate, Consultant shall advance the Plans, Specifications and Estimate to <br />a 95% Design Level. Prior to the start of this task, Consultant shall set a virtual meeting with the <br />City to discuss any last outstanding items or areas of concern that may have been identified during <br />the 65% submittal review. Consultant shall prepare a comments response matrix to the City’s <br />consolidated comments on the 65% plans and shall provide this document as a backup with the <br />95% Design Plans, Specifications and Estimate. <br />The 95% Design Package is shall include the following items: <br />o 95% Design Plans <br />Cover Sheet and General Notes <br />Existing Conditions Plan <br />Demolition Plan <br />Horizontal and Pavement Site Plan <br />Grading and Drainage Plan <br />Detailed Grading Plans <br />Pavement Rehabilitation Plan <br />Signing and Striping Plan <br />Construction Details <br />Landscape Plans (if applicable) <br />Best Management Practices <br />ATTY/AGR.2024.181/KImley-Horn (Roosevelt Ave Permanent Traffic Calming Project De (Page 15 of 42) <br />6.B. - Page 19 of 46 <br />44
