REV: 09-04-24 LF
• Maximum allowable bearing capacity
• Allowable lateral passive earth pressure and coefficient of sliding friction
8. Fitness/Sport Court Recommendations
9. Concrete Slabs-on-Grade
• Minimum design thickness and reinforcement
• Slab moisture vapor reduction
10.Pavements
• Asphalt concrete
The report will contain discussions of site-specific soil and groundwater conditions,
laboratory test data, boring log data, CPT log data, and a site plan showing City’s
exploratory locations and improvement limits. The report will include a geologic and
seismic hazards (Geohazards) discussion based on the requirements of the current
version of the California Geological Survey – Note 48 (Checklist for the Review of
Engineering Geology and Seismology Reports for California Public Schools, Hospitals,
and Essential Services Buildings).
To comply with the requirements of Note 48, Consultant will perform the following for the
site.
1. Review pertinent geologic maps, seismic hazard maps, and geologic reports, and
include the
following items.
a. A regional geologic map
b. A regional fault map
c. A site geologic map
d. Geologic cross sections
2. Perform a probabilistic seismic hazard analysis to develop appropriate peak
ground acceleration and spectral acceleration curves.
3. Review the potential for:
a. Liquefaction
b. Seismically induced settlements
c. Lateral ground movement
d. Subsidence
e. Subsurface gases
f. Naturally occurring asbestos
g. Volcanic eruption
h. Tsunami
Report must be signed by a licensed California Geotechnical Engineer and a Certified
Engineering Geologist.
Assist the City in connection with the City’s responsibility for filing documents required for
the approval of governmental authorities having jurisdiction over the project.
Project scope includes up to two rounds of Department of State Architects (DSA)
revisions to the report to assist the City with securing building permits.
ATTY/AGR.2024.153/ENGEO Incoporated (Hoover Park Geotechinical) (Page 12 of 13)
