The style and location <br />of all streetlights shall be as determined by the City Engineer and Planning Manager. <br />[SDR][ENGINEERING] <br />44.Repair or Replace Street Infrastructure - Restore streets surrounding the project site to the <br />satisfaction of the City Engineer at project completion. When this requires additional pavement <br />restoration, the Engineer shall approve the preferred layout of pavement markings. <br />[SDR][ENGINEERING] <br />45.Reconstruction of Frontage Streets - Applicant shall reconstruct the street along Broadway and <br />Douglas Avenue streets fronting the project site to the satisfaction of the City Engineer as set forth <br />in Condition 46 above. [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br />46.Pedestrian Safety Improvements - Additional high visibility crosswalks that are aligned with the <br />intersecting streets shall be created along Broadway. These crosswalks shall be installed at <br />Hurlingame Avenue/ Broadway and Warrington Avenue/Broadway to the satisfaction of the City <br />Engineer. These crosswalks could include bulbouts, high visibility paint, paving textures/treatments, <br />or pedestrian flashing warning light systems, as approved by City. <br />47.Broadway Traffic Calming Through Striping Plan : A striping plan for Broadway between Douglas <br />and 2nd Avenues shall be included as part of the building permit package submittal and approved by <br />the City Engineer. The striping Plan shall reflect the need for pedestrian safety improvements and <br />traffic calming on Broadway. The striping plan could include repurposing the travel lanes and adding <br />median. [COA] [ENGINEERING] <br />48.Parking Garage Ramps - Parking garage ramps shall meet the Design Criteria of the Engineering <br />Standards and consider safety and visibility of pedestrians to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. <br />Access controls shall be designed and placed in such a way that vehicles do not block the public <br />sidewalk or queue in the public right-of-way. The access control system shall be delineated in the <br />building permit submittal. Person doors with panic hardware and alarms shall be installed at or <br />adjacent to gates between private and public parking to allow the safest emergency egress path of <br />travel. [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br />49.Shoring for Excavations – No tiebacks shall extend into the public right of way or onto adjacent <br />properties without the written agreement of the City and/or private property owner. Any tie-backs <br />within the City’s right of way shall be de-tensioned prior to permit sign-off and/or project <br />acceptance. [COA] [ENGINEERING] <br />Fire and Safety <br />50.Building Information – For the purposes of project coordination at the time of inspection provide <br />the following information on the building permit plans: [COA][FIRE] <br />a)Provide occupancy types <br />b)Total number of stories for the building <br />c)Type of construction <br />d)Total square footage for the building and the area involved with this permit. <br />51.Fire Flow – The Project shall meet the fire flow requirements established by the Redwood City Fire <br />Department which are based on the California Fire Code, Appendix B.
