Learn why this is important <br />Good evening Redwood City Council Members and Mayor, <br />My name is Adriana Arriaga and I work in the Redwood City/North Fair Oaks area at El <br />Concilio of San Mateo County. Thank you for making Redwood City a Welcoming City, but I <br />am writing to urge you to take the Welcoming City one step further and make Redwood City a <br />sanctuary city for the safety of our community. Our immigrant families, including myself, are <br />anxious and scared with the new administration coming in this new year. Passing the <br />ordinance will ensure our families are not separated and are able to access the resources <br />needed without fear. Our community is already dealing with a lot day to day, but passing an <br />ordinance to make Redwood City a sanctuary city will alleviate one less stressor and fear.
