<br />10 <br /> <br />eligible for a salary increase in six (6) months following the promotional <br />appointment. <br /> <br />7.3 Pay Period <br /> <br />Employees shall be paid bi-weekly. <br /> <br />All bargaining unit members shall participate in a mandatory direct deposit <br />program. <br /> <br />7.4 Premium Pay <br /> <br />7.4.1 Special Assignment Pay <br /> <br />Police Investigators (Detectives, Juvenile Detective, Street Crime <br />Suppression Team, Vehicle Theft Task Force), Narcotics Officers <br />(Narcotics Task Force, Drug Enforcement Administration), DARE Officer, <br />Motorcycle Officer, Training Premium (Field Training Officers), and Police <br />Liaisons (Downtown Resource Officer, PAL Officer, CCAT Officer and <br />School Resources Officer), shall receive premium pay in the amount of five <br />percent (5%) of the officer’s base pay. <br /> <br />The selection process to serve in any of the aforementioned assignments <br />and as a Canine Officer shall minimally consist of the submission of a letter <br />of interest by the applicant followed by participation in an interview/oral <br />board process. The Police Chief or their designee may add additional <br />components to the selection process, including, but not limited to, a written <br />examination, assessment center or physical agility test. <br /> <br />Effective the first full pay period following City Council approval of a <br />successor MOU in 2024, Police Officers assigned to the Crisis Negotiation <br />Unit and SWAT team will receive special assignment pay of one hundred <br />dollars ($100) per month. <br /> <br />7.4.2 Shift Differential <br /> <br />Police Officers who are regularly assigned to swing shift (C-Watch) or night <br />shift (A-Watch) shall receive premium pay in the amount of five percent <br />(5%) of the officer’s base pay. <br /> <br />Police Officers who are not assigned to swing shift (C-watch) but who have <br />a majority of their regularly scheduled work hours fall after 1400 hours <br />(2:00 p.m.) shall receive premium pay in the amount of five percent (5%) <br />of the officer’s base pay for all hours worked on their regularly scheduled <br />shift. <br /> <br />7.5 Emergency Responder Bilingual Pay Premium <br />6.I. - Page 22 of 84 <br />252
