<br />13 <br /> <br />prior to the beginning of their 1400 hours (2:00 p.m.) start time. Such <br />employees shall not be subject to the five (5) hour minimum. <br /> <br />7.8 Court Pay - Telephone Standby <br />An off-duty employee who is assigned to testify in any court proceeding as part of <br />their official duties or is subpoenaed or required by the City to appear in Criminal <br />Court or Civil Court, is not scheduled to be on-duty during any portion of the <br />appearance, and who is placed on telephone standby by an official of the court, will <br />be compensated at the overtime rate for two (2) hours for that day. If the off-duty <br />employee is subsequently called into court from telephone standby, the <br />aforementioned two (2) hours become part of court pay as defined in section 7.7. <br />An off-duty employee cannot receive both Court Pay (7.7) and Court Pay – <br />Telephone Standby (7.8) on the same calendar day. <br /> <br />7.9 Call-Back / Call-Out Pay <br /> <br />Employees who are called back after leaving work at the end of the normal working <br />day or called in to work on their days off shall be credited with no less than three <br />(3) hours at the overtime rate. <br /> <br />7.10 Educational Incentive <br /> <br />Police Officers who obtain a P.O.S.T. Intermediate Certificate shall receive <br />Educational Incentive pay equal to two and one-half percent (2.5%) of base salary. <br /> <br />Effective the first full pay period following City Council approval of a successor <br />MOU in 2024, Police Officers who obtain a P.O.S.T. Advanced Certificate shall <br />receive Educational Incentive pay equal to an additional three and one-halffive <br />percent (3.5%) for a total of seven and one-half percent (7.5%) six percent (6%) of <br />base salary. <br /> <br />Effective the first full pay period following City Council approval of a successor <br />MOU in 2024Effective the first full pay period following January 23, 2023, <br />employees hired before January 23, 2023 who obtain a P.O.S.T. Advanced <br />Certificate shall receive an additional one and one-half percent (1.5%) for a total of <br />five six and one-half percent (6.5%) for Advanced P.O.S.T.
