Project Location <br />ANALYSIS <br />Construction on this project began on July 15, 2024 and concluded on November 15, 2024. <br />Five change orders totaling $379,950.43 were issued, resulting in an adjusted contract price of <br />$1,489,850.43. These change orders authorized: <br />The repair of unforeseen cracks at the foundational slab (change order 1: $19,600.00); <br />The addition of 37 linear feet of creek channel wall as referred in the background section above <br />(change order 2: $331,500.00); <br />A non-monetary extension to the substantial completion date (change order 3: $0.00); <br />The placement of a post rail system at the front yard of 1891 palm avenue to provide safer conditions <br />to pedestrians using the right of way at the top of the culvert (change order 4: $2,445.56); and <br />Adjustment of bid items and quantities and to perform additional work needed due to unforeseen <br />conditions found at the culvert wingwalls foundation and surroundings (change order 5: $26,404.87). <br />As of November 15, 2024, the Contractor had resolved all punch-list items. The City Engineer has <br />determined that the improvements outlined by the project plans and specifications are complete. <br />Therefore, staff recommends final acceptance of the project, release of all bonds and retention and filing <br />of a notice of completion. <br />6.A. - Page 2 of 4 <br />9
