Recruitment efforts expanded with the <br />production of seven successful videos, generating <br />30.9K views on Instagram alone. Participation in <br />multiple recruitment events provided <br />opportunities to engage with diverse audiences <br />and highlight career opportunities. Membership in <br />Cal-JAC (California Firefighter Joint Apprenticeship <br />Committee) further enhanced outreach, offering <br />access to specialized resources, career fairs, and <br />mentorship. In July 2024, a recruitment event <br />showcased the newly implemented Explorer <br />Program, with another planned before the fiscal <br />year's end. These initiatives strengthen the ability <br />to attract top talent while promoting excellence, <br />inclusion, and community service. <br />Increase social media activity and followers <br />by 5% by June 2025; as of April 5, 2024 <br />there are 19,700 followers across all of the <br />Department social media accounts. FIRE 95% <br />As of January 22, 2025, social media followers <br />total 20,422, reflecting a 3.66% increase since <br />April 2024. This is the highest follower count <br />among county fire departments, with projections <br />estimating a 5% increase by June 30, 2025, further <br />strengthening digital community engagement. <br />Complete site evaluation and partner with <br />the College of San Mateo to complete the <br />design and build of the fire training facility <br />by June 2025. FIRE 20% <br />When this goal was established, an initial site for <br />the training facility was identified but is no longer <br />viable. A new site is being secured, and multiple <br />site visits have been conducted, including a recent <br />visit to the San Francisco Training Facility. <br />Preliminary design and build plans are underway, <br />with collaboration from the College of San Mateo <br />to finalize the project.
