FIRE 50% <br />Significant progress is being made in evaluating <br />the Squad 409 pilot program, originally scheduled <br />for October 2024. The evaluation is on track for <br />completion by June 30, 2025, with a staffing <br />proposal to be considered with the FY 2025-26 <br />Recommended Budget. <br />Hire a consultant to perform a Fire <br />Prevention Bureau analysis, develop a <br />strategic plan, and assist in rebranding the <br />Fire Prevention Bureau to a Community <br />Risk Reduction model by November 2024. <br />FIRE 100% <br />The Fire Prevention Bureau has entered into an <br />agreement with a consultant and begun <br />transitioning to the Community Risk Reduction <br />(CRR) model through a rebranding process. <br />Begin updating the Local Hazard Mitigation <br />Plan (LHMP) by June 2025 to ensure Cal <br />OES and FEMA approval before the current <br />plan expires in 2026. <br />FIRE 20% <br />Preliminary discussions have begun between the <br />Fire Department and the San Mateo County <br />consultant.
