PD 50% <br />The make, model, and quantity of drones <br />required to implement the drone program <br />have been identified. The purchasing and <br />acquisition approval process is expected to be <br />completed by the end of February 2025, with <br />operations anticipated to commence in <br />summer 2025. Selected personnel have <br />already begun training courses on the <br />operation and maintenance of the drone <br />program, and the process for FAA certification <br />has been initiated. <br />Implement a new Countywide software <br />application, “Sherlock”, aimed at <br />significantly reducing Organized Retail Theft <br />and other illegal activities throughout <br />Redwood City and San Mateo County by <br />December 2024. PD 100% <br />The acquisition and integration of the <br />Sherlock software application into operations <br />has been completed. Officers received training <br />on the use of the Sherlock software through <br />late 2024 and early 2025.
