The contractor completed <br />construction of the improvements in accordance with the agreement, plans, specifications, and to the <br />satisfaction of the City’s Engineering & Transportation Department. <br />Three contract change orders, resulting in a cost decrease of $31,864, were issued for unit price <br />adjustments, quantity adjustments, addressing unforeseen underground utility conflicts, and modifying <br />the temporary speed cushion placement. The final contract amount of $1,700,728 is 1.8 percent below <br />the initial contract amount. <br />Figure 2. Roosevelt Avenue at McGarvey Avenue Intersection-Post Construction <br />EQUITY IMPACT STATEMENT <br />Equity and inclusion were considered in development and implementation of the project. Forty-two <br />percent of the Project alignment is within Equity Priority Areas. Also, during the project planning phase, <br />public announcements and opportunities for community engagement were published online and mailed <br />to neighborhood residents both in English and Spanish. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />No additional funding is required. This Project was completed under-budget. This Project received a <br />$755,000 grant through MTC’s Safe and Seamless Mobility Quick-Strike program. The $945,728 local <br />match was appropriated in the Capital Improvement Program. Overall, 44 percent of the Project was <br />6.B. - Page 3 of 4 <br />14
