As concerned
residents, we believe it is crucial to address this matter of Public Health and Safety to
enhance the overall well-being and quality of life for the residents of Redwood City.

Our community has been experiencing a significant lack of police service for these
community matters. All calls for Noise nuisance such as loud music, Barking Dogs are
completely ignored, not prioritized and not handled by the Sergeants/Police Officers.
Please include these public comment concerns in your upcoming meeting agenda.

There is no watch commander on duty as the city states, the Lieutenant leaves around
2 pm. There is no community officer on duty. There is no animal control/humane officer.
Sergeants are unaware of city codes, and not enforcing noise nuisance ordinance,
citations for residential noise and barking dogs noise nuisance:

CHAPTER 24 - NOISE REGULATION[1] (Ord. No. 1999, § 1, 7-24-89)
Sec. 24.2. -
precision sound-level meter,
1. Thirty (30) dBA for interior noise in Section 24.20B;
2. Forty (40) dBA in all other sections.
