REV: 02-27-25 LF
drawings will be prepared by adding recycled water conversion requirements on top of an
aerial map or existing irrigation drawings if available. Retrofit of potential dual-plumbed
facilities will be prepared by adding recycled water conversion requirements on top of
existing plumbing plans.
The anticipated list of drawings shall include:
A title sheet and standard notes
Location map / recycled water use areas
Irrigation system plan and connection details
Recycled water irrigation specifications and quantities table
For Task 3 overall,
If Consultant waits one hour with no response and no show from the site
representative for a scheduled site investigation, Consultant may charge a
cancellation fee of one hour for one staff member. The cancellation fee will be
based on the hourly rate of the appropriate position.
Consultant is not responsible for paying any agency fees.
Task 3 Deliverable:
Consultant shall submit electronically in PDF format to the City a draft and final
plans
Task 3 Schedule:
Consultant shall discuss and receive approval for a schedule for 90% draft plans
and final plans from the City at the start of a project
Consultant shall submit any plans electronically in PDF format to the City
Task 4 - Evaluate recycled water sites to determine eligibility for a pressure cross
connection test
Consultant shall perform this task with an American Water Works Association (AWWA)
certified Cross Connection Control Specialist.
As directed by the City, Consultant and the City will visit a site with the site’s
representative to determine if a pressure cross-connection shutdown test could be
conducted as an alternative to a standard cross-connection shutdown test. For both the
potable and recycled water systems, the Consultant will assess:
Potential test point locations for the pressure gauges such as reduce pressure
backflow prevention assemblies, quick coupler valves, hose bibs, etc.
Site complexity such as internal potable facilities that may automatically turn on
and thus potentially interfere with the potable cross-connection shutdown test
For dual-plumbed site, the elevation of the building and the possibility to isolate
floors so that a pressure differential and a pressure residual can be obtained.
Any other site-specific conditions that may preclude a pressure cross-connection
shutdown test
A pressure test evaluation letter describing the results of this task will be provided
to the City
ATTY/AGR.2025.032/West Yost & Associates, Inc.
