City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org
Offers an extended range of up to 45 feet, significantly increasing the distance at which officers can
engage a subject safely, reducing the likelihood of close-proximity confrontations.
Features a high-efficiency flashlight to enhance visibility in low-light situations, improving officer
awareness and safety.
Axon Signal Technology Integration: When the TASER 10 is armed, it automatically activates all Axon
body-worn cameras within approximately 30 feet, helping to ensure critical incidents are recorded
without requiring officers to manually activate their cameras.
Green Laser Sighting: Provides enhanced visibility, especially in daylight conditions, improving
accuracy and reducing the likelihood of missed engagements.
Audible Warning and Visual Laser Indicator: Designed to deter resistance and encourage voluntary
compliance before an electrical discharge is needed, supporting de-escalation strategies.
Axon Evidence Integration (Evidence.com):
Full access to Axon Evidence (Evidence.com) for comprehensive event log tracking, weapon activity
monitoring, and digital evidence management. The Police Department already uses Evidence.com and
the Taser 10 information will integrate with the existing system.
Enables seamless integration with Axon’s existing platforms used by the Police Department, allowing
real-time review of deployment data, including firing logs, activation times, and event sequences.
Virtual Reality (VR) Training:
Provides officers with immersive, scenario-based training in a controlled virtual environment.
Enhances officer decision-making skills under stress, helping them practice use-of-force judgment and
de-escalation techniques without real-world consequences.
Reduces reliance on traditional training scenarios, saving time and department resources while
providing consistent and repeatable training experiences.
Training Cartridges:
Officers will receive an annual allotment of training cartridges to ensure they maintain proficiency
with the Taser 10.
Regular training helps officers develop muscle memory and accuracy, ensuring that in high-stress
situations, they can effectively deploy the device when necessary.
Cartridge Replenishment Program:
Unlimited duty cartridges through Axon’s Duty Cartridge Replacement Access Program, ensuring
officers always have functional and stocked equipment.
This eliminates the risk of officers running out of cartridges and ensures the department has
continuous access to operational TASERs.
6.B. - Page 3 of 91
20
