REV: 04-04-25 LR
evaluation will include visual observations of cracking, spalling, exposed aggregate,
foundation settlement, and other visually apparent structural deficiencies. Each pump
station will include a site civil assessment including observations of the site’s
ingress/egress, security, drainage, settlement, and fencing and paving conditions.
Subtask 13.2 Assumptions
During each site visit, Woodard & Curran will be joined by City staff and operators
knowledgeable about the condition, operation, and historical maintenance/repairs
of each pump station. City staff will be prepared to discuss any current operational
issues with respect to the condition of the pump station facilities, including wet
wells, dry wells, mechanical systems, piping, valves, major equipment and
electrical equipment including standby power (diesel engine generators).
Destructive and non-destructive testing of any sort is not included.
Visual observation of existing electrical utility company equipment and installation
will be included and documented. Observation will include pad mount transformers
and location and condition of overhead lines within proximity of the pump station.
Electrical observation to be coordinated with the City’s electrical team / person.
Electrical checking such as insulation check, resistance of contacts, and control
device operation is not included.
Assessment of electrical equipment will be limited to visual checking and
photographs of signs of wear, corrosion, flashover/carbon deposits, age, and
Electrical Code clearances. Assessment is not intended to be an inspection of the
facilities for Code compliance. However, if Electrical Code issues are observed,
they will be incorporated into the assessment report.
Review of control system logic and control strategies is not included.
The condition assessment does not include a load study, short circuit rating
confirmation, device coordination review, or Arc Flash Study.
Structural observation does not include evaluation or calculations to verify seismic
capacity or expected seismic performance of structures or pump station
components.
Woodard & Curran will not enter any OSHA-defined confined spaces, which may
include wet wells and dry wells. Should entry into such spaces be required to
complete an asset assessment, Woodard & Curran will rely on photos/videos
provided by the City.
Woodard & Curran will not operate any equipment or open electrical panels. If
operator(s) can safely operate equipment and open such panels for observation,
Woodard & Curran will include observed conditions in its assessment. Use of
specialized arc rated PPE by Woodard & Curran will not be required.
Site visits do not include force mains, which are assumed to be inspected per
separate contract.
Geotechnical site investigation is not included at any of the pump stations.
No additional flow monitoring, system modeling, or pump analysis will be
conducted.
ATTY/AGR.2025/Amend.
