REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />TRAILER WHEELS <br />The trailer wheels shall be 22.50” x 12.25” polished aluminum with an 11.25” diameter bolt circle <br />with ten (10) holes. <br />Two (2) wheels shall be provided. <br />TIRE PRESSURE INDICATOR <br /> <br />There shall be electronic chrome LED valve caps provided on the tiller axle which shall illuminate <br />with a red LED when tire pressure drops 8psi. The valve caps are self-calibrating and set to the <br />pressure of the tire upon installation. <br />TRAILER STEERING SYSTEM <br />The trailer steering gear shall be Ross TAS-85 integral power steering gear box. The hydraulic <br />power steering pump shall be a PTO driven, Vickers V20 (or equal). <br />The compact steering geometry design shall include a direct drive drag link with no mitre boxes. <br />TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM <br />The trailer air brake system shall be plumbed with reinforced nylon air brake tubing in <br />conformance to SAE and U.S.D.O.T. Standards. Air lines shall be secured with non-conductive, <br />corrosion resistant strapping. <br />All drop hoses shall include fiber reinforced neoprene covered hoses. <br />PTC FITTINGS <br />The trailer air brake system shall be plumbed with push to connect type fittings. <br />TRAILER ABS BRAKING SYSTEM <br />The trailer axle shall be equipped with a Wabco Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) to provide <br />controlled stopping under emergency braking conditions. The system shall help to maintain <br />steerability and stability under emergency braking. <br />All wheel sensors installed on the apparatus shall be rigid mounted and completely weather <br />sealed for corrosion resistance. <br />TILLER AXLE BRAKING CONTROL SYSTEM <br />The trailer brakes shall be plumbed to a “Brake Release” control valve in the tractor cab within <br />easy reach of the driver's seat position and shall be labeled as to its function. One (1) control shall <br />be used for the tractor and trailer axle.
